Sound Healing and Therapy in Ashtead and Oxshott

Singing Bowls have been shown to have a positive effect on mood, tension, fatigue, and depression.

What is Sound Healing?

A sound bath, or sound meditation, or sound healing, is a meditative experience where you are bathed in sound waves.

Our bodies have certain frequencies that they vibrate at when awake, and asleep, and these bowls are tuned to 432Hz frequency, which tunes into the frequency your body needs to relax, to sleep.

The sound waves and vibrations can result in a deep sense of wellbeing and calm, and have been shown to help you relax, sleep better, destress, and declutter the mind.

What are the benefits of Sound Healing?

Sound healing and sound baths are complementary wellness practices that use sound vibrations to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support overall well-being.

Potential benefits of sound healing and sound baths:

  • Stress Reduction: Sound therapy, including sound baths, can help reduce stress and anxiety. The soothing sounds can induce a state of relaxation and calm, which can be beneficial for managing stress.
  • Improved Sleep: Many people find that sound healing sessions improve their sleep quality. The calming and meditative effects of sound can help individuals relax and fall asleep more easily.
  • Pain Relief: Some individuals report experiencing pain relief from conditions like chronic pain, migraines, or tension headaches after sound healing sessions. The vibrations and frequencies can stimulate the release of endorphins, which are the body’s natural painkillers.
  • Enhanced Meditation and Mindfulness: Sound baths and sound healing can be used as tools to deepen meditation and mindfulness practices. The sound vibrations can help individuals reach a deeper state of meditation and focus.
  • Emotional Release: Sound therapy can sometimes help individuals release and process buried emotions. The vibrations and frequencies may resonate with certain emotions, allowing for a release or catharsis.
  • Improved Concentration and Cognitive Function: Sound baths and sound healing can improve concentration and cognitive function by promoting relaxation and reducing mental clutter.
  • Enhanced Well-Being: Many people report an overall sense of well-being and increased vitality after sound healing sessions. They feel more centred, grounded, and at peace.
  • Enhanced Creativity: Some individuals find that sound therapy can stimulate their creativity and inspiration, making it a valuable tool for artists and creative professionals.

It's important to note that individual experiences with sound healing and sound baths may vary, and these practices may not be a substitute for medical or psychological treatment when needed. I advise using sound healing as a complementary approach to support your well-being.

Sound Healing and Hypnotherapy

Singing Bowls have been shown to have a positive effect on mood, tension, fatigue, and depression.  I can use singing bowls in my hypnotherapy sessions involving pure post-hypnotic suggestions to help you become even more relaxed and open.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, published the following study on the efficacy of sound bowls: Effects of Singing Bowl Sound Meditation on Mood, Tension, and Well-Being.

I hold Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Baths about once a month in Ashtead or Oxshott, Surrey.

They are group sessions where I begin with a guided meditation and then begin to play the bowls while you allow yourself to be immersed into the beautiful waves of sound.  You go deeper or further into your state of relaxation.  The perfect way to unwind and de-stress.

If you would like to book a Sound Bath, please either fill out the form below, or text/WhatsApp me on 07909 883 531.  I will let you know when the next one is scheduled.
